Lainey is a 22 year old self taught abstract artist. Lainey takes inspiration from patterns in nature, and focuses on capturing complex emotions which are inexpressible through words. They have created art since childhood, having always been drawn to vibrant colours and unique shapes. Some of Lainey’s favourite media includes oil paint, gouache, and watercolour. She prioritizes upcycling second hand art supplies to give them a new life. 

Lainey has plans expand their practice to illustrate books, design album covers, and paint murals. She aspires to have the opportunity to showcase art around the world. Beyond painting, she enjoys hiking, and attending local concerts in the Annapolis Valley, where she lives.
